Who is Kate?

Kate Mucho is a Collections Team Lead at Elements. She’s been heavily involved with several extracurriculars in the credit union, including the Dale Carnegie program, Member Advantage, Leadership Lab, Purpose Day Committee, Employee Engagement Committee, and the Employee Engagement Committee Chair. Kate isn’t afraid to try new things and take on additional tasks outside of her everyday responsibilities.

“I love to see people and our credit union succeed,” Kate exclaims.

Her top five CliftonStrengths are Relator, Discipline, Empathy, Arranger, and Developer, which allow her to help and develop others effectively.

What does Kate do?

As a Collections Team Lead, Kate's goal is to assist all members in achieving financial wellness. She focuses on members who have strayed from their financial goals and helps them find the best solutions to get back on the path to success.

When did Kate join Elements?

Kate has been with Elements since 2020, just two weeks before the global COVID-19 pandemic. When searching for her current role, she wanted to find an organization that aligned with her personal values and career goals. Before joining Elements, Kate worked as a closer for a local title company, where she discovered her passion for helping people.

She says, “Elements checked all the boxes for me, it truly feels like home! I appreciate the emphasis that Elements places on work-life balance, which allows me to prioritize my family life while still developing my career.”

Why does Kate enjoy working at Elements?

In addition to the work-life balance Elements provides, Kate truly loves the people she gets to work with every day. She describes the Elements team as “supportive,” as she watches different departments work together to achieve the same goal – helping our members achieve financial success.

“I know that the work that I am doing has a positive impact on the credit union as well as our members. This is extremely rewarding,” she explains.

She also appreciates how Elements is willing to invest in their employees through training and professional development. Kate is extremely grateful for all the opportunities she’s able to take advantage of while receiving unwavering support from management and the executive team.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You might also see her at the pool, which she considers her happy place.

What are some “fun facts” about Kate?

Kate is actively engaged both inside and outside of the credit union. She has a knack for starting home improvement projects. When she’s not brainstorming her next home project, she’s busy playing golf.
